The debut on Spotifiy’s “Rap Caviar” channel proved extremely popular with audiences.
Tre Native tapped Primal Screen to create the animated action sequences for Ski Mask the Slump God’s “In 2Deep” video. The project, for Spotify’s Rap Caviar playlist, also included a “making of” vid featuring two Primal Screeners, Linsey and Nick, flexing their best illustration skills.
Introduction
In the first unscripted scene in Tre Native’s mini-doc for Spotify, Primal Screen designer Linsey and animator Nick consult with the rapper about his look and his mission as an action hero. Then the fully animated warrior takes on Clout Chasers and defends his world.
The short piece debuted on Spotify’s RapCaviar channel, where it was an immediate hit. Primal Screen did character design (under Ski Mask’s direction) and animation.
